Make a round willow basket over 5 mornings at Art House South Brent!

Over the course of 5 mornings you will learn how a traditional stake and strand round basket is put together. Many participants enjoy making a round shopping basket with a wrapped handle however other past participants have made kindling baskets and an asymmetric basket.

This course is designed for beginners and intermediates.

Week 1 Introduction followed by how to weave your base.

Week 2 Stake up your basket and consider different weaves for the sides of your basket.

Week 3 Begin to weave the sides of you basket.

Week 4 Continue from week 3 and consider which border to use.

Week 5 Borders and handles followed by a summary of the whole process before taking home you own hand made basket!

Running from Sept 5th -Oct 10th the course runs every Thursday morning except Oct 5th. £135 for 5 sessions plus a materials charge of £10, so £145 in total. Please do ask if you'd prefer to pay in instalments.
