Suzy Fasht's painting classes is for adults of all abilities. Beginners will be guided through a separate programme within the group setting.
Returners may choose to work on their own projects or use the suggested topic for that term. Topics usually follow a seasonal theme based around still life, landscape or a more abstract approach. Session 1 usually consists of guided warm up exercises to bring new ideas.
You will need to bring your own materials although there are some to borrow. If you are new to painting you can wait until the first session to discuss the best materials to buy.
Weekly classes are in six week blocks etiher side of half term and are on Tuesday and Friday mornings.

Generally on the first Monday of each month (but can vary due to bank holidys). The idea is to get together to draw or do your own arty thing in convivial surroundings (so we can also chat, drink and eat nibbles). Bring along; a drink and a snack (if you wish); your own drawing materials; a thing or two, to put on the table to draw if you fancy trying a still life, or you could do your own thing, like work on an ongoing project.

Individual Project Making Sewing Days with Jane Norris - Print Studio
INDIVIDUAL PROJECT MAKING SEWING DAYS
Come join our weekday sewing workshops. Tuition at the Sewing Days is based on your individual making project and learning aims for that project. Depending on where you are on your sewing journey – it could be learning to sew and making your first garment, or an advanced sewing project with a specific technique you’re wanting to master. Or your project may involve some pattern work, such as fitting adjustments or design line adjustments / style manipulation.
Guidance is given individually for each project, especially useful for selecting the right garment size to make, or for fitting adjustments. This makes up one part of achieving professional results, the other part is to select the right sort of seam construction – which is about choosing one that is suitable for your project cloth and the style of the garment you’re making.

BOOK ARTS: PRINT paper/MAKE books (2 day) WORKSHOP with Gaynor Williams and Sara Gilbert - Print Studio
Gaynor is a bookbinder who makes and repairs books and especially enjoys making out of the discarded or unexpected. This workshop offers the making of three A6 sewn book structures, ie a simple single section, single section with cloth covered boards and a multi-section book.
Sara’s work is about her heritage, which she explores through object, story and the passage of time using photography, drawing, painting and hand-based printing techniques. This workshop offers the making of monoprints with plants to use as endpapers/covers for the three book structures.

Returners may choose to work on their own projects or use the suggested topic for that term. Topics usually follow a seasonal theme based around still life, landscape or a more abstract approach. Session 1 usually consists of guided warm up exercises to bring new ideas.
You will need to bring your own materials although there are some to borrow. If you are new to painting you can wait until the first session to discuss the best materials to buy.

ART HOUSE DROP-IN ART CLUB - Print Studio
Generally on the first Monday of each month (but can vary due to bank holidys). The idea is to get together to draw or do your own arty thing in convivial surroundings (so we can also chat, drink and eat nibbles). Bring along; a drink and a snack (if you wish); your own drawing materials; a thing or two, to put on the table to draw if you fancy trying a still life, or you could do your own thing, like work on an ongoing project.
There will be a small charge to cover the room hire - £2 each.

Summer Fused Glass Taster with Annette Daly - Print Studio
In this fun fused glass taster session, you will use top-quality Bullseye glass to make some beautiful summer inspired picture or coaster (10cm x 10cm).
This course is suitable for both adults and children (from 5 years +) and no previous experience of glass is required. Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult. (Accompanying adults can either book their own space and make their own glass picture or come along for free and just supervise their child/children).

Intermediate Fused Glass Landscapes (2 sessions) with Annette Daly - Print Studio
Join Annette Daly, professional glass artist at this Intermediate Level, 2-part fused glass workshop over two Sundays:
Sunday 6th July 2025 10am - 1pm
Sunday 13th July 2025 10am - 1pm
During these sessions you will be able to make more complex fused glass landscape art than is possible in a single session. Your glass piece or pieces will be able to be fired between the sessions which will enable you to add additional elements in the second workshop. 16+

Easy Make Palazzo Pants (Two Day Course) with Jane Norris - Print Studio

If you’ve always wanted to make your own wardrobe of clothes, this making project is a great place to start! In this two day course you will learn how to use a sewing machine and all the basic professional garment making skills needed to make and complete your own palazzo pants. Five places maximum.

Each block of 5 weeks will have a basketry theme such as bases, handles or borders which we will focus on to deepen your knowledge and skills. You will be able to complete a small basket over each of the 5 week blocks and should begin to feel more able and confident to choose and influence the design of your baskets. SKETCHBOOKERS ART GROUP - Yellow Studio
Every Tuesday afternoon our small group meet and paint together. Some of us "do our own thing" and others paint with a project in mind. Please feel free to join if you like. The first session is free then it's £5 per session or £20 per month. We bring our own materials. You'd be very welcome to join us.
