In this full-day workshop I will be demonstrating my painting process and guiding you through the fundamentals of what makes for a successful painting with the aim of adding impact and interest.
During the workshop you will be encouraged to loosen up your approach to allow you to explore techniques on building layers and depth, colour mixing and tone and using acrylic paint and mediums. You will gain an understanding of compositional elements including perspective and focal point as well as the importance of edges, all of which help to add impact and tell a story in a painting.
We will also consider a variety of surfaces and there will be the opportunity to experiment using different media such as pastels and collage if interested.
